Fossil Q Series Smartwatches with GPS Launched in India @ INR 19995

Fossil watches are quite in-demand for those who want a traditionally designed watch. However, people wanted more technology in their watches when the era of the smartwatches started. To address this, the company started their line of smartwatches, integrated into the design of the traditional watches. Quite recently, Fossil announced the fourth generation of the Q smartwatches. There are two new watches in the Q lineup, the Q Venture HR with a 40mm stainless steel casing, and a Q Explorist HR with a larger 45mm stainless steel casing.

Both the smartwatches have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 SoC and are packed with features such as NFC for Google Pay, built-in GPS tracker, Swim-proof Functionality, and a heart sensor. The GPS comes into play when the user is tracking the data for his or her walks, runs, hikes, and bike rides, while the heart sensor automatically reads and tracks the heart rate across the workouts using Google Fit.

There is a touchscreen digital display on both the watches, and Fossil has claimed a battery life of more than one day. The watches support Wireless syncing and magnetic charging. They run on Wear OS by Google and are compatible with iOS 9.3+ and Android 4.4+. The straps and the bracelets on both the watches are interchangeable with each other, the Q Venture HR comes with an 18mm strap while the Q Explorist HR comes with a 22mm strap.

Speaking about the launch of the smartwatches, the EVP of the company, Steve Evans, said, “Since our entry to the smartwatch market, it has always been our first priority to be nimble and adapt quickly to innovations-both in technology and design. We know a lot of watch wearers have both a traditional watch and some kind of an activity tracker— by adding significant features in terms of technology, without compromising our design standards, this new generation of smartwatch will provide consumers with one device that fits all of their needs. Ensuring the best possible experience for our customers has always been important, which drove the innovation of this product; we cannot wait to see the consumer response around the globe.”

The watches will come to India by the end of October 2018 and the price will start at INR 19,995 and go up to INR 21,995.
