All-New Suzuki V-Strom 250 Adventure Bike Launched in India

Japanese two-wheeler maker Suzuki has just launched its much-awaited adventure bike, the V-Strom SX, in the Indian market. Offered in three vibrant colours Black, Orange and Yellow, the bike is now available in the country with a starting price of Rs 2.11 lakhs. The Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 will go up against the KTM 250 Adventure, Benelli TRK 251, Yezdi Adventure, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. For starters, the brand has already been selling this bike in global markets since 2017.

At its heart, the V-Strom SX ADV is powered by a 249c, single-cylinder engine with the Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS). It’s worth noting here that this engine was explicitly developed for the Indian market and is responsible for powering the Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250. The engine produces 26.5HP of maximum power at 9300 rpm along with 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7300 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Suzuki has equipped its new entry-level adventure with plenty of sophisticated features like a USB charging port, Suzuki Easy Start System, full-LED lighting system, and a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster that connects with the rider’s smartphone and offers information like turn-by-turn navigation, alerts on incoming messages, calls, and WhatsApp, speed exceeding warnings, and phone battery level.

Other key features of the bike include a decent-sized windscreen, knuckle guards, signature ADV beak, sporty rearview mirrors, sculpted fuel tank, split seats, and an upswept exhaust.

The design is clearly inspired by the larger 650cc and 1,050cc V-Strom versions, particularly on the sides. The front beak, lofty windscreen, angular side panels, muscular fuel tank, and lengthy tail section all contribute to its aesthetic attractiveness and powerful appearance. Moreover, the new Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 is a multi-purpose motorcycle that can tackle tough terrain well. The motorcycle is capable of handling regular commuting, light off-roading, and long-distance highway cruising.
