At present, the KTM 125 Duke is available for INR 1.38 lakh and it is the most premium option that one can buy in this price range. The USD front forks, an all-digital console, a 150-section rear tyre, and a lightweight frame makes the motorcycle a good choice for performance-loving beginners. The Suzuki Saluto 125 was revealed by the brand at the 2020 Taipei Motor Show back in January this year. Based on the underpinnings of the Suzuki Access, the Saluto scooter is powered by the same 124cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Access 125 in the Indian market.

Coming to the major differences, the Suzuki Saluto 125 features a retro-modern design language that is further inspired by the very-famous Lambretta scooters. The scooter features chrome detailing on the body panels while the sportier accents add to its uniqueness.

The handlebar cowl at the front has been equipped with an LED headlamp mounted at the middle which is further mated to LED DRLs. The rear section of the scooter has been equipped with a unique tail lamp design while the LED indicators have been integrated neatly into the body fairing. The brand has further equipped the Suzuki Saluto 125 with a semi-digital instrument panel that features a chrome bezel on top accentuating its overall neo-retro appeal.

Powering the scooter is a 124cc single-cylinder engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 9.4HP and a peak torque of 10Nm. Comparing the power and torque figures with the ones offered by the Suzuki Access 125, the latter is good for 8.7HP of power while the torque remains the same at 10Nm.

The Suzuki Saluto 125 has been equipped with a disc brake at the front while the rear features a drum brake setup mated to a CBS. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the while the rear wheel has been equipped with a monoshock suspension. The brand has further equipped the all-new scooter with a keyless ignition in addition to offering a hazard light and a multi-function ignition slot.

The chances of Suzuki Saluto 125’s launch in the Indian market looks negligible. If launched in India, the all-new Saluto 125 will compete in the market with the likes of Piaggio Vespa 125 portfolio.

According to recent reports, the 2020 Honda Grom 125 has been recently revealed by the brand in selected markets. Also known across the world as Honda MSX 125, the MY2020 variant of the motorcycle has only been imparted cosmetic changes while the mechanical bits remain the same.

The brand has officially awarded the Grom 125 with four new colour schemes namely Incredible Green, Blue Raspberry, Halloween Orange, and Cherry Red, specifically designed to add to its cosmetic appeal and make it desirable for the younger audience. The fun-size motorcycle has been specifically imparted the desired design language to make it stand out among the rest though the brand has offered it all the similar bits when compared to a regular motorcycle.

The 2020 Honda Grom 125 features an LED headlight set up at the front while the rear has been mated to a decent tail light setup mated to turn indicators. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with an all-digital instrument cluster while adding to its overall profile is the multi-spoke alloy wheels setup.

Powering the MY2020 variant of the Honda Grom 125 is the same 124.9cc, single-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 9.7 HP and a peak torque of 10.9Nm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed transmission. The suspension duties on the fun motorcycle variant are handled by 31mm USD forks at the front which are the smallest diameter forks ever offered to a motorcycle variant. The wheelbase of the Grom 125 stands at 1,100mm while the seat height is measured at 762mm.

The 2020 Honda Grom 125 is expected to be launched in the international markets soon while the brand has not yet revealed any information on the Indian launch of the motorcycle as of yet. Even though the motorcycle was spotted testing on the Indian roads a few years ago, the India launch seems to be rather impossible considering the recent discontinuation of the Honda Navi, the motorcycle that lies in the same vicinity of the Grom 125.

KTM is currently taking the Indian two-wheeler segment in its pride with the launch of some of the most sought-after motorcycles. After the introduction of the 390 Adventure and the global unveiling of the 250 Adventure, the brand is currently working on targeting the lower-displacement adventure segment with the introduction of a 125cc adventure motorcycle. Though the reports have not been officially confirmed yet, one can surely imagine the craze among the audience for the baby adventure motorcycle from the Austrian brand.

The upcoming portfolio of KTM recently surfaced online and the adventure segment featured all three displacements including 125cc, 250cc and the 390cc. The KTM 390 Adventure and the 250 Adventure have been officially revealed while the 125 Adventure might take some time to go under production. Since the 125cc-displacement market is flourishing in glory, launching a 125cc adventure motorcycle could prove to be one of the wisest decisions from the brand to get ahead in the competition.

One can expect the KTM 125 Adventure to be based on the Duke 125 which is powered by a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It is capable of generating maximum power of 14.5HP and a peak torque of 12Nm. Though the power and torque output for the 125cc adventure variant has not surfaced online yet, one can expect it to be tuned to suit the characteristics of an adventure bike.

To keep the costs under check, one cannot expect the KTM’s upcoming 125cc adventure motorcycle to be equipped with all the premium bits when compared to its higher-displacement sibling 390 Adventure. There has been no official confirmation on when the 125 Adventure will go under production though one can expect the brand to reveal the pre-production version of the motorcycle by the end of this year.

The 2020 Honda MSX125 monkey bike has been recently revealed by the brand. The motorcycle is all set to be launched in Vietnam on May 10, 2020. The MY2020 variant of the 125cc motorcycle would be available to the customers in new colour schemes.

Initially launched in 2014, the MSX125 has been able to set a record for itself in the Vietnamese markets. The brand has officially discontinued the last-gen colour variants of the motorcycle which were Blue, Green, Black/Red, and Black/Orange while at the same time, has introduced new dual-tone colour schemes namely Red/Blue, White/Red, and Yellow/Black.

Apart from imparting a new colour palette to the 125cc machine, the brand has not altered the motorcycle cosmetically or mechanically. The 2020 Honda MSX125 continues to feature a dual-LED headlight set up at the front while the handlebar unit has been shod with a fully-digital instrument console. The motorcycle has been equipped with a sporty alloy wheel setup while the brand has retained the LED tail light at the rear as well as the single-piece saddle for its MY2020 avatar.

Coming to the mechanical bits, the MSX125 continues to be powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 9.3 HP at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox.

The suspension duties on the updated motorcycle continue to be handled by USD forks at the front while the rear features a monoshock unit. The braking department is foreseen by the disc brakes at either side. The brand will be importing the 2020 Honda MSX125 to the Vietnamese markets from Thailand and the motorcycle will now be available to the customers at a price tag of VND 49.99 million (approx INR 1.61 lakh). The customers will be offered a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty with every purchase of the MSX125 in addition to the 6 free periodic inspections.

For all the sports bike enthusiasts, a Kawasaki dealership in Japan by the name Pleasure MC based in Nisshin, Aichi Prefecture has recently modified a Kawasaki Z125 Pro monkey bike into a Kawasaki Ninja H2 fully-faired super sports machine. The end product of the customization is something worth appreciating and the dealership is calling it as the “h2”, with a lowercase ‘h’.

Coming to the baby Ninja h2, the dealership has specifically churned out the customization to offer the world a more affordable version of the Kawasaki Ninja H2, which is indeed one of the most powerful road-legal motorcycles across the countries with an equally “hole in the pocket” kind of price tag.

The customized Kawasaki Z125 Pro has been equipped with a one-of-a-kind body kit that has been designed with more than 40 fibreglass panels that are custom made with utmost perfection. The stock motorcycle has been equipped with almost identical body fairing on the super sports Ninja H2 in addition to the similar winglets design.

The customizers have further offered the stock machine with a similar rear profile as well as the rear seat cowl when compared to the inspiration. The customized unit further features a similar turbocharger seen on the Ninja H2 though this one has just been imparted as a dummy to mimic the perfect design. The customized Kawasaki Ninja Z125 “h2” has also been equipped with a similar dual-outlet exhaust unit to add to the authenticity further.

Apart from the cosmetic changes, the stock motorcycle has been kept mechanically unaltered. Powering the customized Kawasaki Ninja Z125 “h2” is the same 125cc single-cylinder engine that is good for 9 HP and 9.6 Nm. The dealership is charging a price tag of JPY 12,50,000 (INR 8.90 lakh) for the end product.
