The first-ever official images of the upcoming 2020 KTM RC 200 and RC 390 India-spec models have surfaced online. The upcoming motorcycle variants will be launched in India with a BS6-compliant engine. In addition to this, the Austrian manufacturer is also expected to launch its updated BS6-compliant KTM RC 125 in the coming days.

Coming to the official images, the updated motorcycle variants look more or less similar to their international counterparts, though some minor cosmetic changes have been offered to the graphics on the side fairing. Apart from this, both the 2020 KTM RC 200 and RC 390 will be available to the customers in all-new vibrant colour schemes.

According to the recently released teaser video from the brand, the upcoming 2020 KTM RC range will cater to the audience looking for more street-racer inspired motorcycles as well as splendid performance. In terms of changes imparted to the updated RC 200 and RC 390, both the motorcycles now feature a commanding RC branding with larger “200” and “390” decals. In addition to this, the orange detailing is now absent at the lower edges of the updated machines.

The 2020 KTM RC 200 will now be available to the customers in an all-new black/orange colour which certainly offers it a sportier look just like the recently updated KTM Duke 200. The blacked-out trellis frame accentuated its overall profile while the new orange detailing at the rear complements it further. In addition to this, the updated motorcycle will now be equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.

Similarly, the 2020 KTM RC 390 will be available to the customers in a white/black colour scheme in addition to getting minor cosmetic changes. The updated motorcycle is expected to feature a revised instrument panel while the overall look remains more or less similar to the current-gen BS4 model.

All the 2020 KTM RC variants have been equipped with an additional catalytic converter to comply with the more stringent BS6 emission norms while the crankcase is now fully revealed to offer better cooling.

There has been no information on the revised power and torque values of the 2020 KTM RC 200 and RC 390 though one can expect them to be similar to the ones generated by BS4 avatars. The updated motorcycles are expected to get a premium of INR 10,000 – INR 15,000 when compared to the present-gen BS4 versions.

After the recently-leaked images of the BS6-compliant KTM Duke 250 and the Duke 390, a set of undisguised photos of the 2020 BS6 KTM Duke 200 has surfaced online. The updated motorcycle is expected to launch in the Indian market in the coming days. Unlike the Duke 250 and the Duke 390, the 2020 BS6-compliant Duke 200 has got an all-new design that is heavily inspired by its elder siblings.

In comparison to the current-gen model, the 2020 BS6 KTM Duke 200 carries a different headlight unit, which is no doubt within the same design language but providing it with a different character. The centre section here is a single compartment unlike the divided one in the Duke 390.

200cc Bajaj-Triumph Bike Price & Launch Details Officially Revealed: Bajaj and Triumph have officially announced their partnership at a press conference today. The resultant collaboration of the brands will churn out motorcycles whose production will be handled by Bajaj while Triumph will be responsible for handling the branding.

As per the official details available, Bajaj and Triumph will be launching an all-new 200cc single-cylinder bike with an ex-showroom price tag of under INR 2 lakh while the motorcycle will start arriving at the dealerships sometime in the year 2022.

It has also been confirmed that all the motorcycles developed under the partnership will be sold under the Triumph brand name while Bajaj will only handle the production at its Chakan plant in Pune. One can further expect the partnership to bring out the motorcycles ranging from 200cc displacement going all the way up to 750cc. Apart from this, the alliance between Bajaj and Triumph will give birth to an all-new motorcycle platform though no official details have been confirmed regarding the same.

Since the motorcycles are expected to be positioned under the Triumph’s “Heritage” range in the brand’s portfolio, one can expect the upcoming motorcycles to be neo-retro cruisers with well-engineered design. The motorcycles developed from the alliance will be distributed in the international markets as well.

There has been no official confirmation on what kind of motorcycle variants will be developed from the partnership though the chances of retro cruisers seem to be quite high. When launched in India, the neo-retro cruisers from Bajaj and Triumph will compete in the market with the likes of brands like Royal Enfield as well as Jawa.

Nick Bloor, CEO, Triumph Motorcycles said: “This is an important partnership for Triumph and I am delighted that it has now formally commenced. As well as taking our brand into crucial new territories, the products that will come out of the partnership will also help attract a younger, but still discerning, customer audience and is another step in our ambitions to expand globally, particularly in the fast-growing markets of South East Asia, but also driving growth in more mature territories like Europe.”

Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto said: “The Triumph brand is an iconic one the world over. So, we are confident that there will be a huge appetite in India and other emerging markets for these new products. We look forward to working alongside such a famous motorcycle company and to leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise to make the relationship success for everyone.”

According to recent reports, a 200cc Honda adventure motorcycle is in the making and it will further rival the Hero XPulse 200. The brand is currently focusing on increasing its foothold in the entry-level premium motorcycle segment and a recently released sketch of an adventure motorcycle is enough to speculate on the chances.

Judging from the design, the upcoming motorcycle seems to be an off-roader which features a 21-inch wheel at the front while the rear has been equipped with an 18-inch wheel. The motorcycle sits on a single downtube frame that also forms the basis of the Hero XPulse 200. The suspension duties are handled by long-travel forks at the front while the rear features a monoshock absorber.

200cc Honda Adventure Motorcycle
200cc Honda Adventure Motorcycle in the Works

Taking the design inspiration from the dual-sports Honda CRF series, the upcoming motorcycle features the same bits and pieces while the overall body fairing, as well as the front headlight unit, is inspired from the Honda CRF250L.

Powering the 200cc Honda adventure motorcycle will be a BS6-compliant single-cylinder air-cooled engine equipped with fuel injection technology. The engine is expected to churn out power and torque figures close to that of the Hero XPulse 200. At present, the Xpulse is capable of offering maximum power of 18.4HP @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 17.1Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The motorcycle is expected to be launched sometime in the year 2022 though there has been no official confirmation received in the same. If Honda plans on launching the 200cc adventure motorcycle in the Indian market, the simplistic design offered to it will allow the brand to price its affordably as well as target the high volume segment. The 200cc adventure motorcycle will be the debut motorcycle to be equipped with an all-new engine from Honda.

It even warns against low battery power and thus, you won’t get a chance when push-starting the bike would be necessary. As the KTM My Ride offers Bluetooth connectivity, the same can be found on this screen that displays caller ID and image for rider’s ease.

The system works through a custom app that Pritish Singh has himself designed for Android phones. Programming the display can bring more features alive and Pritish has already announced that he will add more to the system. Moto Notifier, as the app appears on the Android device, helps the rider in customizing the types of notifications that are required during every ride.

A simple click can help you connect or disconnect the device once paired securely. He has not switched on the text updates on Notifier app as it could be under development due to the complex nature of the code. You can contact Pritish Singh for further inquiries and details.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi is Coming Soon: Bajaj Auto has recently released a TVC video titled as “Pulsar Celebrating 18 Years of Thrill’ to commemorate the 18th anniversary of their best selling product, Bajaj Pulsar in the Indian market. The popular motorcycle from the brand was launched back in November 2001 and has been able to set a record for itself considering the splendid design and powerful performance.

The latest TV commercial from the brand showcases the all-new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 with a BS6-compliant engine and portrays how “thrilling” and “fun” it is to ride the motorcycle. The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 will be the debut product from the brand with a BS6-compliant engine while the launch of other BS6-compliant models under the brand’s portfolio will follow shortly after that.

One of the most anticipated updates offered to the updated NS200 is the addition of a fuel injection system. In addition to this, the brand has further reduced the harmful emissions by offering a revised catalytic convertor that is mated to new oxygen and temperature sensors.

Though updating the motorcycle according to more-stringent BS6 emission norms will reduce the overall power and torque figures, one can certainly expect the new engine to offer better mileage. At present, the BS4, 199.5cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine on the current-gen Pulsar NS200 is capable of offering maximum power of 23.5HP and a peak torque of 18.3Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.

For the upcoming BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS200, the power and torque values have not been disclosed as of yet though one can expect the engine to be mated to the same 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is expected to feature a set of new decals in addition to getting all-new colour schemes. One can expect the updated motorcycle with an FI engine to get a premium of INR 8,000 to INR 10,000 over the present-gen NS200 variant which is available in the market at a price tag of INR 1.15 lakhs (ex-showroom).
