Tata Motors unveiled four of their new cars yesterday at the Geneva Motor Show 2019. It is one of the manufacturing brands that has been participating in every Geneva Motor Show since its inception. Buzzard, Altroz, Altroz EV, and the H2X Hornbill concept were the 4 new Tata cars taken off the wraps at the show.

The Tata Buzzard or as the people are calling it the 7-seater Harrier has gained quite an appreciation. It gets the same underlying IMPACT DESIGN 2.0 language, similar to the Tata Harrier and will be powered by the same 2.0-litre Kryotec, four-cylinder diesel engine. The SUV is specifically designed with an exhaust after treatment for avoiding a large carbon footprint. The Tata Buzzard is based on OMEGA ARC (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture) platform. The SUV has been mated to a manual and automatic gearbox while the car expected to churn out a maximum power figure of 170 hp. Buzzard SUV is expected to be launched in the market in fall 2019.

The Tata Altroz is also based on IMPACT DESIGN 2.0 language borrowed from
Tata Harrier while features an Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) platform that allows the hatchback to accommodate various body styles. Based on a mild hybrid technology, the Tata Altroz is powered by 1.2 litres, 3-cylinder petrol engine. The production for the hatchback will start in mid-2019 while once launched, the hatchback will compete in the market with the likes of Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.

The Tata Altroz EV will feature some design changes as compared to its petrol sibling in terms of a wider grille and fog lamps in addition to the refurbished bumper. The Tata Altroz EV is expected to be revealed at Auto Expo 2020 and will feature an all-electric powertrain.

The Tata H2X Hornbill is the newest micro SUV from the brand that is based on the same underlying platform Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA), showcased in the Tata Altroz. The micro SUV gets a split headlamp design and features LED taillamps. The H2X concept SUV gets a black grille at the front and flared wheel arches. The micro SUV Hornbill is expected to roll out in 2020 as per the details surfaced.
