The updated model of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi with ABS was spotted outside India earlier this year. The 200cc streetfighter has got a new set of shades for the international markets. The bike now features a white/silver fuel tank and a black rear under-seat panel on all three colours. The difference can be spotted on the FI monikers, finished in Neon Blue, Neon Yellow, and Neon Red on the three colour options. The matching pinstripe on the alloy wheels is another way to differentiate all three of them.

As Bajaj Auto manufactures the Pulsar NS200 in India and exports the same to different markets around the globe, the new colour combinations are expected to make their way to our country along with the launch of the fuel-injected model.

As the BS6 emission norms will come into effect starting from April 1, 2020, the brand would be updating the fuel-injected engine of the Pulsar RS200 to make it BS6-compliant, and the same engine will also be used in the updated model of the NS200 in the Indian market.

The fuel-injected Pulsar RS200 generates 24.5HP of maximum power at 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of peak torque at 8000 rpm. The non-fuel injected NS200 generates 23.5HP and 18.3 Nm. The gearbox stays 6-speed in both cases.

Bajaj Auto recently also launched an ad campaign showing their presence in more than 70 countries and their newly introduced NS200 model seems another step towards better sales in the international markets.

Pulsar NS200 is a great machine with a balanced streetfighter design and stylish fuel tank extensions. The brand recently introduced a 125cc model to its Pulsar lineup and the price range now starts at INR 64,000 for the drum brake model of the Pulsar 125.

The Fi model of Pulsar NS200 was earlier expected to launch in India around Diwali (October 2019) but as per the latest details available, the Fi+ABS model will now launch by the end of this year. The updated version of the NS200 is expected to be priced around INR 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

The most popular segment of motorcycling these days, 200cc bikes in India changed how fans looked at lightweight performance. The credit goes to KTM Duke 200, making it the most performance specific 200cc bike of India. Riders looking for track performance can consider KTM RC 200 as it comes with a fully-faired body and similar levels of the straight-line performance. Both bikes cost too much and thus, buyers get other options like Yamaha FZ25 and Honda CBR250R to consider during their search.

Hero Xtreme 200S
Hero Xtreme 200S

The range of 200cc bikes starts from the Hero Xtreme 200R priced at INR 91,900. Hero MotoCorp has multiple bikes under this platform, with xPulse 200 Fi being the most expensive one from them. The 200cc bikes list now contains 10 bikes from different Indian manufacturers.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has got a really exciting mod job in Vietnam. The owner of this typical NS200 was obsessed with the Kawasaki Z1000 styling and carried over that angry face onto his Pulsar, resulting in an economical performance bike with litre-class naked bike essence. The biggest surprise is that the engine has also been modified with a bigger bore, making it 350cc in displacement. Say Hello to the Pulsar NS350!

The rear tyre has been replaced with a much thicker 180 section wheel while the front fascia now uses all-LED lights. Other key components on the motorcycle include Austin Racing exhaust, Brembo brake callipers, a new instrument console and a restyled rear-end design with LED taillights.

The handlebar has been given a carbon fiber treatment while the rear now uses a sharper design with a Z1000-inspired taillight and absence of the plastic fender. The only thing that makes it an NS200 is the fuel tank and its shrouds, that too merged with the little body panels around the engine. The headlight even gets a custom visor, most probably protecting the rider from winds at higher speeds.

Key Facts About Pulsar NS350

  • New Z1000-inspired LED headlamp
  • Maserati logo between the headlamp & the front visor
  • 180 section rear tyre
  • Brembo brake callipers
  • Austin Racing aftermarket exhaust
  • CRG sourced clutch and brake levers

  • Clip-on handlebar
  • New pillion seat

Bajaj Auto has officially unveiled the Pulsar NS200 Fi special edition in the Colombian market. The motorcycle features a host of unique graphic detailing on its body parts in addition to various other accessories.

Based on the same design language as that of its standard variant, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi special edition features neon yellow highlights with a “Pulsarmania” sticker on the rear under-seat panel. The motorcycle has been equipped with unique “200” decals on the fuel tank that sets it apart from the standard variant.

The India-spec NS200 is powered by a carburetted 199.5cc engine, which is good for 23.17 BHP of maximum power and 18.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc brake at the front while the rear of the motorcycle features a 230mm disc brake. Bajaj Pulsar series is one of the most popular motorcycle series in the Indian market. The price range starts from the Pulsar 150 Neon at INR 68,250 and goes up to INR 1.40 lakh for the fully-faired Pulsar RS200 sports bike.

The Pulsar series is now equipped with 1-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) as standard. Surprisingly, none of the Pulsar models is equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit, not even the RS200. We feel that Bajaj should equip the NS200 and RS200 with 2-channel ABS to make them compete with the rival motorcycles in a better way.

The most value for money Pulsar is 150 Neon, powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine, producing 14 HP of maximum power and 13.4 Nm of torque. The model comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The top variant of the 150cc series, Pulsar 150 Twin Disc, is available for INR 88,339. For the buyers who need something more iconic, the 180 Neon comes with a semi-faired design like the 220F and is priced at INR 94,790.

The 2019 model of Bajaj Pulsar 220F now retails for INR 1,06,528. The Pulsar NS200 is available with a price tag worth INR 1.13 lakh while the fully-faired RS200 is the most expensive Pulsar at INR 1.40 lakh. All the prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi. Bajaj Auto is also planning to launch the Pulsar 125 in India in the coming weeks with a price tag of around INR 62,000-65,000.

The updated model of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi with ABS was recently spotted outside India in a new set of shades for the international markets. The difference can be seen on the FI monikers, finished in Neon Yellow, Neon Blue, and Neon Red on the three colour options. Bajaj Auto recently introduced single-channel ABS to its Pulsar DTS-i lineup and the Pulsar range now starts from INR 68,250 for the 150 Neon model. The Fi model of NS200 was earlier expected to launch in India by mid-2019 but as per the latest details available, the Fi+ABS model will now launch by Diwali (October 2019). The updated version is expected to be priced around INR 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Adventure Edition was officially unveiled last year at the Istanbul Motorbike Show. The motorcycle was showcased along with other standard variants from Bajaj lineup. This includes RS200, NS160, Dominar 400, and the Bajaj V15. NS200 Adventure comes with headlamp cover, engine guard, luggage carriers with removable mounts, aluminium inserts, knuckle guards and navigation device with a separate mount.

The variant may not be India specific as buyers will get the Adventure Edition on ABS and Fi equipped international variant. No report regarding changes in overall body dimensions was received with the new edition. With this claim, one can call it an accessorized NS200 for limited markets. As of now, Bajaj has no plans to launch the Pulsar NS200 Adventure Edition in India.

The NS200 Adventure pays tribute to once launched Pulsar AS200. The name literally translated to Adventure Sports but was unable to survive the changing trend in sales. Also, it was a mild adventure machine as buyers were missing the use of adjustable windscreen, more ground clearance, and even better tyres.

Bajaj Auto has promised that AS series will make a comeback and expecting strict off-road specific changes will not be a wrong idea. Bajaj Pulsar series is highly sophisticated as you can get a variety of models ranging from commuter sports to track specific racers.

Engine powering the NS200 Adventure Edition is 199.5cc, fuel-injected single cylinder unit producing 24.2 BHP and 18.6 Nm of torque. The India-spec NS200 is powered by a carburetted 199.5cc engine, which is good for 23.17 BHP and 18.3 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 was relaunched in India after a long break and presently, it is one among the top selling street bikes of India. The single-channel ABS version is available for INR 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom). Bajaj Auto does not offer the fuel injected version in India.

NS200 initially looks beautiful with its benchmark street influenced design while the application of custom blue and grey wrap on the motorcycle makes it better than ever. Not just that, DS Design has even covered the most minor details of the motorcycle with full precision. The front fascia gets updated with aftermarket projector headlight with white and red devil eye finish.

The fuel tank is finished in matt grey and gets Pulsar moniker in black on its top. The tank extensions are finished in matt blue, matching those blue back-lit buttons on the motorcycle. NS200’s rear panels are even finished in the same matt blue shade. The front fascia even gets high spec detailing with Black inserts on the headlight itself, making the face look different from the stock version and not even compromising on the scattering of light through the projector headlight.

Fans are yet to decide the fate of all new Xtreme but still, potential hidden within this product cannot be underestimated.

Hero MotoCorp announced in their initial launch plans that primary focus will be on college students. Styling is a subjective matter and thus, every human has an individual set of parameters to define beauty. Here in 200cc segment, aggression is the key weapon and Pulsar NS200 has very well used it for a long time. It looks typically street designed with lightest tail section and well-designed fuel tank design. RTR 200 is again a sculptured machine and attention to detail factors are very high here. The front headlight and tail design is actually a little blunt in front of Pulsar. Hero Xtreme 200R is more of like an everyday bike with decent front fascia and sporty rear end.

Xtreme 200R stays calm with just 18.1 BHP and 17.1 Nm of torque. It is not made with an intention to win in terms of speed as Hero claims 39.9 kmpl of mileage. This means people looking for a high-performance centric product will never visit Hero dealership for Xtreme 200R. Pulsar NS200 is the right product for that purpose. Apache RTR 200 was praised for its all road ride quality and thus, Xtreme will basically challenge it here only. All three of them are equipped with wide tyres for better road grip.

ABS for added safety is available in all of them. Hero Xtreme 200R has been made basically to attract the buyers who were looking into the premium 150cc segment. When compared to them, it carries enough power to excite senses and not just that, 50 additional cubic centimetres are not bad at all.

Top speed of 112 kmph is not that surprising as the 200cc Xtreme has been made to serve the economy conscious riders of India. Those who need for more power and top speed can consider buying the Apache RTR 200 or the Pulsar NS200, as both these bikes are quite fast in comparison at 128 kmph and 136 kmph respectively.
