Maruti Future S Compact SUV Global Debut @ Auto Expo 2018

Update: Maruti Suzuki recently teased another image for its concept car. Maruti Future S Compact SUV will be seen exclusively on Auto Expo 2018, hinting at Renault Kwid rival from India’s largest car manufacturer. This time, the front bumper shows some skin with huge Suzuki moniker in the middle and sleek headlamp assembly at both ends. The upper grill separates the bonnet from lower half, which further seems to bring modern design lines into action. Maruti Future S As cities are getting stuck with heavy traffic at most times, buyers choose smaller cars to tackle situations in an efficient way. This can be clearly seen from the ratio of cars being sold in India. Highest selling products are mostly under four meter and use highly fuel efficient engines for more kilometers for every liter of fuel they consume. Future S will surely be one of them soon. Maruti knows the fact that present generation Alto is not a direct rival to Renault Kwid. It simply falls in same price bracket but Kwid offers much more for the money you spend on Renault’s top selling product. They claim of breaking the conventional proportions of a compact car, hinting clearly of longer than usual length, high seating and muscular stance. They have hinted at a perfectly sculpted masterpiece that will have impressive shade combinations. Maruti Suzuki is India highest selling car brand and Kwid rival from their side would definitely mean a downfall for the French brand. They will have to bring a face-lift if Maruti decides to take over this segment as cost effective manufacturing and part sharing will help Maruti place the Future S (its production version actually) at a really effective price point. CV Raman, Senior Executive Director (Engineering), Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, "The increasing preference for UVs and their bold architecture inspired our design team to study a new character for compact cars. Concept Future S could mark a distinctive shift in how compact cars are shaped and designed in India in the future."
