Royal Enfield Working on BS6 Version of Classic, Bullet, Thunderbird Series

BS6 Royal Enfield Motorcycles in the Making: Royal Enfield has officially confirmed that they are working on two different platforms that will meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. Most probably, the two will be none other than existing 346cc and 499cc engines with upgraded components. Why would a brand switch something that is high in demand and trusted by almost entire nation? This query further takes the chances of BS6 upgrade of both the engines higher. Both Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are BS6 compliant while Himalayan may get itself the bigger 650cc engine in place of present day unit. This would mean an entire upgrade of lineup in the coming years. After updating both the engines, Royal Enfield is expected to bring equipment into action. All bikes are high capacity and thus, ABS will be available on entire lineup from April 2019. They are expected to bring a single disc to Bullet 350 while Classic and Thunderbird lineup will get dual discs as standard. This will help them keep a good amount of price difference between Bullet and Classic series around 2020. Apart from the new Himalayan with bigger engine, all products may arrive or update within one year. Royal Enfield is the highest selling motorcycle brand above 125cc. After those huge numbers posted by Pulsar series, Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes next with almost 50,000 units of sale each month. As Pulsar counts bigger and smaller engines as well, Classic 350 can safely be called the most selling performance bike of India. Fans are eagerly waiting for their new 650cc duo in India as they will raise the benchmarks for Royal Enfield lovers in all terms.
