Maruti Gypsy Converted into Snowmobile with Tank Tracks

Maruti Gypsy SUV Converted into Snowmobile: Maruti Suzuki Gypsy was one of the best-selling products from the brand. It was the first-ever 4x4 vehicle that was launched by the brand in the Indian markets though it has been discontinued since long. It was one of the most sought-after SUVs for the police forces as well as Indian army considering its powerful performance and a 'Rough & Tough' character. The 4x4 SUV was also an off-road enthusiast favourite back in its days. Though the SUV has been discontinued in the Indian markets, the customization artists never cease to amaze us with its different avatars and the recently customized Maruti Gypsy into a snowmobile is something that needs to be showcased to the world. Coming to the final product, the customized SUV looks almost similar from the top portion though glancing downwards, the Gypsy has been shod with separate tank tracks at all the four wheels. The tank tracks are so massive that further allows easy movement in the snow. The customizers have offered the wheels on the SUV a tank track measuring almost 5-7 feet in length and 3-4 feet in width. All of the four tracks working together absolutely turns the SUV into a splendid snowmobile that can tackle a large amount of snow and would be extremely useful in the mountain areas. The design and style offered to the tyres on the SUV further make us wonder if it can also take on the muddy as well as sandy terrains. Despite the extremely innovative design, the exceptionally heavyweight offered to the tank tracks are expected to make the vehicle rather heavy to register high speeds. The stock 1.3-litre petrol engine on the BS4 Maruti Gypsy is good for offering 80 HP and 103 Nm, which is not expected to suffice for the extremely heavy overall customized design. Replacing the Maruti Gypsy in the Indian markets will be the new Suzuki Jimny. The SUV was showcased back at the Auto Expo in February 2020 and is expected to be launched in India next year.
