Harley-Davidson Low Rider & Softail Deluxe Launched in India

2018 Harley Davidson Softail Low Rider has been officially launched in India for INR 12.99 lakh. Along with that, they also introduced the new Softail Deluxe for INR 17.99 lakh. Both these prices are ex-showroom. The model was seen hovering on the Indian website from last few days but was listed with an ''undefined tag'' in place of the price value. Harley is expanding its lineup to bring better sales this year as they are also hopeful of getting tax concession through new Indo-US talks on the import topic. Like all other Softail models, both these are also offering the new Milwaukee 107 engine. This makes it a great option for this price as not all bikes in India are as powerful as this one. Deluxe, on the other hand, is using the same engine but carries more weight due to extended fenders and bigger frame. Low Rider sits between Street Bob and Fat Bob while Deluxe gets itself placed next to Fat Boy in the Indian lineup. The entry of these two has taken the total Softail lineup to 6, making this the most impressive segment for Harley buyers. It first entered India in 2007 through a motorcycle-mango deal between both the countries. If Harleys are excluded from the import duties or any other taxes, the pricing for Touring and CVO range will fall by a large margin. Not just that, it will also help them price the Softail range at a better point. The same deal will also work for Indian Motorcycles, UM and Cleveland Motorcycles as all of them are American brands. It may not be sure whether the zero tax will apply to other countries as well in the coming months.
