Tata Harrier Special Edition Spotted Ahead of Launch – Live Photos

Tata Motors is preparing to launch a Special Edition Harrier ahead of the facelift Harrier and Safari. This has now been spotted at a dealership, implying that the launch is imminent. Introducing a special edition will make it easier for Tata Motors to clear out year-end inventory.

The Tata Harrier Special Edition has Red accents as seen in the spy shots. The front grille has Red accents based on the Harrier Dark. Red disc brake callipers are present on this variant while the theme is red on the inside as well. The seats are all red leather and the same red colour can be found on the door panels.

This is not the facelifted Harrier, as the MY2023 it is still under testing in camouflage. A Harrier facelift test mule was recently spotted with a radar module in the centre of the lower air dam. It suggests that the SUV may receive ADAS features. Tata Motors teasers for the 2023 Auto Expo confirm the presence of ADAS technology.

The Harrier and Safari facelifts will get a new front fascia. Changes will be made to the front grille, headlamps, and bumper. While the side profile will remain unchanged, the facelifts may receive new alloy wheels. Updates to the rear bumper and tail lamps are possible.

Harrier and Safari facelifts are expected to receive an updated instrument cluster. It may come with a more extensive touchscreen infotainment system on the inside. We might also see some new additions to car-connected tech. New interior design themes and upholstery are also possible.

The petrol-powered Harrier and Safari may appeal to a certain segment of the market. As it lowers the starting price of these SUVs. But Tata Motors is not considering introducing a petrol option for them.

The Harrier/Safari facelifts will keep the same diesel engine. The 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine produces 170 PS at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of peak torque at 1750-2500 rpm. It is available in the same tuning on both Harrier and Safari. Tata is offering Six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. The special edition Harrier seen above will also keep the diesel engine option.
