2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 Debuts With Rs 8.95 lakh Price Tag

Triumph Motorcycles has recently expanded its Indian bike portfolio by adding the Tiger Sport 660 bike. This adventure tourer is now available in our country with an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.95 lakh. This offering by the British brand is considered the most affordable among its other Tiger models worldwide. The purpose behind the addition of the Tiger Sport 660 is to supersede the Tiger Sport 850 as the entry-level product in the brand’s adventure tourer lineup.

The newly launched model is based on the Trident 660 roadster, which is already being sold in our country. However, in terms of design and styling, the motorcycle boasts an absolutely different sub-frame and a longer travel suspension setup if we compare it with the Trident 660. Another significant distinction is the styling, as the Tiger Sport 660 comes outfitted with a semi-faring, tall windscreen as well as integrated pannier mounts.

On the other hand, the feature list of the bike is identical to the Trident 660 and comprises full-LED lighting, a TFT instrument cluster, two riding modes called “Rain and Road,” switchable traction control, and ABS. The motorcycle rides on five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels which are shod with road-biased tyres. The colour scheme of the bike includes Lucerne Blue and Sapphire Black, Graphite with Sapphire Black and the striking Korosi Red and Graphite dual-tone shades.

In addition, there will be over 40 motorcycle accessories on offer. The new Triumph tourer shares a 660 cc, liquid-cooled, 3-cylinder engine with the Triumph Trident 660, capable of generating 81PS at 10,250 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 rpm. The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is also equipped with a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. In the Indian market, the new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 competes with the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Suzuki V-Storm 650XT.
