Volkswagen has officially released the teaser for its soon-to-be-launched Virtus sedan. This will be the company’s second product offering under its Bharat 2.0 project. Volkswagen has confirmed that Vento’s upcoming successor is set to make its world premiere on March 8, 2022, as the company’s new global sedan.

The VW Virtus will be based on the popular MQB A0 IN platform. Vento is likely to get discontinued in India after the arrival of Virtus. The German carmaker recently released the first teaser video for the upcoming sedan, Virtus. This new car from the company has been spotted many times during testing on Indian roads. The teaser picture and a video clip show that Virtus will come with an LED headlight unit with LED DRLs.

The interior and features of the Volkswagen Virtus sedan are likely to be shared with the Slavia mid-size sedan. Talking about the features, they will include an electric sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument console, several airbags, automatic AC, LED projector headlamps, LED tail-lights, and many other features.

After the launch, it will compete with cars like the Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, as well as segment leader Honda City in the Indian market.
