Apple is one of the most desired brands when it comes to offering premium technological innovations to the world. The time of the year has come when everyone is seeking some news on the latest upcoming iPhones, and we did come across an interesting update. Apple is currently working on three new OLED iPhones that will reportedly be launched in the year 2020.
As reported by Taiwan’s DigiTimes, the three new devices will be available with 5.42-inch, 6.06-inch, and 6.67-inch display sizes respectively. In addition to the screen sizes, the website also reported that the smallest of the three new iPhones will feature Samsung Y Octa or LG’s TOE technology in order to make the screen display thinner.
The brand currently offers two OLED iPhones in the market, the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, that features 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch displays respectively while the iPhone XR is equipped with 6.1-inch LCD display. For the year 2019, Apple plans on keeping the same screen sizes as the latest edition smartphones.
In addition to this, DigiTimes also stated that if Samsung’s Y Octa technology will be used for the 5.42-inch display iPhone, the AMOLED display technology will allow the touch circuit to be patterned directly on the display film’s encapsulation layer making it rather thinner.
It is also being predicted that Apple will be able to ship 80-82 million iPhones in the first half of this year though, for the second half, we can expect the sales to reach 180-190 million units. At present, the Apple iPhone range starts at INR 39,900 for the iPhone 7 and goes all the way up to INR 1,44,900 for the iPhone XS Max with 512GB of internal storage.
