Suzuki Hayabusa to be Locally Assembled, Expected Price Cut of INR 2 Lakh

Hayabusa has always acted as a benchmark for high speed bikes in India. The 2016 version of the bike is currently selling for INR 15.95 lakh and the units are brought in as CBU’s to the country. The process for locally assembling the Hayabusa in India would cut short it’s price by a margin of around INR 2 lakh and getting the dream bike at a much cheaper price will definitely attract more new riders into the Suzuki family.

The most effective rival of Hayabusa is Ninja ZX-14R, priced around INR 17.90 lakh. The local assembly will bring the gap to a considerable INR 4 lakh margin. The 4-stroke, inline-4, 1340 cc engine from Suzuki produces 197 Bhp @ 9,500 rpm and 155 Nm @ 7,200 rpm. The bike gets a top speed of 312 kmph whereas it is electronically limited to 299 kmph.

Suzuki Hayabusa is an excellent option for super bike lovers as it behaves a bit less aggressive than the liter class supersport bikes in terms of everyday riding and can perform very impressively when revved hard. It takes 25.4 seconds to reach it’s top speed and returns around 10 kmpl when revved normally. The 21 liter fuel tank improves the overall reach and highway riding can claim 250-300 km in a single refill.
