Google Pixel 3a Series to Reportedly Launch in India on May 8

The rumours for Google’s latest mid-range Pixel smartphones 3a and 3a XL are circling day in and day out. If the recent reports are true, the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL will be launched at the annual developer conference “Google I/O” as announced by the hardware giant. The latest official teaser image released by Flipkart says: “Something Big is Coming to the Pixel Universe”.

The Flipkart’s official website also hints that the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL are all set to be launched in India on May 8, 2019. The teaser suggests that the smartphones will be exclusively sold via Flipkart in India. The main page of the website also holds a teaser, which says “Losing Sight after Twilight?”, which suggests that the upcoming smartphones will feature low light camera capabilities.

As per the previously surfaced reports, the Google Pixel 3a smartphone is expected to feature a 5.6-inch FHD+ OLED 18.5:9 display while the Pixel 3a XL will be equipped with a 6-inch FHD+ OLED 18.5:9 display. The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 670 processor and a Snapdragon 710 processor respectively.

Both the upcoming Pixel smartphones are expected to feature a 12.2 MP rear camera with an 8MP ultra wide-angle selfie camera at the front. The RAM on offer will be 4GB with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. Both the smartphone are expected to run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The remaining specifications and the features will be revealed at the time of the official launch in India next week.
