2019 Motor Vehicle Amendment Bill Implemented: The Government of India has rolled out some newer and stricter penalties this time so that road safety could be ensured in the country. The Motor Vehicle Amendment Act of 2019 got recently passed by the Lower House of the Parliament on August 5th, 2019, and today the same has been implemented across India though, some of the states are still not ready to implement the new set of penalties and fines.
The Amendments that have been enforced in this new traffic violations act are huge as compared to the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act of 1988. The Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari expressed his happiness for this new enforcement and said that these amendments will promise road safety to the citizens all over the country.
