The 38th Tokyo Auto Salon recently witnessed the unveiling of the 2020 Honda S660 Roadster. The brand has officially revealed the updated open-top two-seater car with minor updates when compared to its predecessor. The Auto Salon event in Tokyo is often the platform chosen by the brands to unveil their well-engineered products to the world.
Coming to the cosmetic changes, the S660 now features a redesigned grille at the front mated to longer headlights while the taillights have also been tweaked a bit. The brand has offered the updated roadster with body-coloured A-pillars as opposed to the blacked-out version seen on the previous-gen S660. The roadster has been further equipped with all-new alloy wheels while the customers will be able to avail it in two new colour variants namely green and silver.
In terms of the interior updates, the 2020 Honda S660 Roadster has been equipped with an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel while features heated seats well as an all-new gear-knob. In addition to this, the brand has also updated the S660 Modulo X variant with an all-new alloy wheel setup as well as a yellow colour variant.
The brand has further equipped the feature-rich variant with all-black wing mirrors while the interiors have also been updated with premium leather seats as well as dual-tone upholstery. The updated S660 Roadster now measures 3,395mm in length, 1,475mm in width and 1,180mm in height while the wheelbase stands at 2,285mm.
Powering the 2020 Honda S660 Roadster is the same 660cc, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 64HP and a peak torque of 104Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the customers can also avail the roadster with a 7-step CVT-automatic transmission. The roadster is only available for sale in the Japanese market while the brand has not revealed any plans to launch the S660 Roadster in the Indian market anytime soon.
