Triumph Rocket 3 R Deliveries Begin in India: According to recent reports, the deliveries of the recently launched Triumph Rocket 3 R has been commenced in India. The flagship motorcycle from the brand was launched at the India Bike Week in December 2019 with an aggressive price tag of INR 18 lakhs (ex-showroom). Equipped with a quite powerful engine as well as a host of premium features, the first batch of the motorcycle consisting of 40 units have already been sold out by the brand in India.

The reports also suggest that the dealerships will be receiving a fresh batch of the Triumph Rocket 3 R in the coming days. The cruiser was launched in India at a price tag of INR 18 lakhs which is INR 2 lakhs less than the price tag of the last-gen Rocket III. The decrease in price tag has served as a boon to the brand in terms of 100% sales since the manufacturer now imports the motorcycle from Thailand via the Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Powering the Triumph Rocket 3 R is a 2458cc, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 167HP @ 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 221Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. It is one of the highest-displacement engines that is offered to a motorcycle manufactured in high volumes.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by USD forks from SHOWA at the front with 120mm travel while the rear has been equipped with a mono-shock absorber with 107mm travel. The motorcycle features disc brakes at either side with Brembo four-piston callipers.

The standard features on the cruiser motorcycle include the likes of cornering ABS, traction control, ride-by-wire technology as well as multiple riding modes. Being offered an all-new crankcase as well as a balancer shaft, the motorcycle now weighs 40kg less than its last-gen version.
