All-New 110cc Scooter to Replace Honda Aviator in India

All-New 110cc Scooter to Replace Honda Aviator in India

According to recent reports, the Honda Aviator has been officially discontinued by the brand. The scooter has not been updated with a BS6-compliant engine while the brand has removed the product from its official website as well. The only scooters under Honda’s portfolio that have been offered a BS6-compliant engine includes the likes of Honda Activa 6G, Activa 125 and the Honda Dio.

The Honda Aviator was one of the most cherished products from the brand that witnessed huge sales in its initial phase though was overshadowed by the success of the Honda Activa and ultimately became the product that registers no sales. Even the stable performance, alloy wheels setup, telescopic forks and other premium features were not able to become the Aviator’s USP in front of the Honda Activa.

Removing the Aviator from Honda’s portfolio has ultimately created a gap in the 110cc segment which is expected to be filled by the brand with an all-new product at a later stage. One can expect the upcoming two-wheeler to be based on the similar Honda’s new scooter platform that has given birth to the Activa 6G, Activa 125 and Dio.

The product that is expected to replace the Honda Aviator in the Indian markets is expected to be equipped with all the premium bits like a disc brake at the front, alloy wheels setup as well as an all-digital instrument cluster. The engine will be tuned according to the Honda Activa though will be capable of offering an increased power output.

The brand is expected to place the upcoming Honda Aviator’s replacement above the Activa 6G in the Indian markets thus one can expect it to feature a higher price tag as well. It is yet to be seen if the upcoming product will carry the Aviator name tag or the brand will be launching it with an all-new name considering how Honda Aviator didn’t seem to get a strong foothold in the markets.
