Honda recently unveiled the new WR-V at 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil. The car will be an interesting Indian product, that will be launched in March 2017. Carrying considerable changes from the hatchback Jazz, the new car looks tough and full of attitude against any other car around the segment.

The front bumper is much more aggressive while Honda chooses different headlights for the WR-V. Those black inserts within the same are quite attractive and provides the required contrast for the thick chrome front grill of the car. Honda WR-V uses black cladding on all four sides while the front and rear silver skid plate looks bold on its profile. Black polished alloy wheels take the newcomer’s charm to an another level.

The costs were kept in check by sharing the side profile, rear lamps and even most of the interior components with Honda Jazz. The seats and engines for India are even the same as the regular Jazz hatchback. The 1.2 L petrol is good for 90 HP while the 100 HP Earthdreams diesel would be the more preferred one in the country. The car comes with three gearbox options, which include 6-speed manual for the diesel and 5-speed manual / CVT for the petrol car.

The unique front design of the WR-V would surely attract more customers to the crossover line but the decision making would still depend more on the pricing, which is expected to stay around the INR 8,00,000 tag for the base model. However, the top spec diesel may cross the same and prove itself more expensive than the segment leader, Maruti Vitara Brezza.
