Honda, India’s leading two-wheeler brand, today launched the new edition of its Activa Scooter. The scooter, called Activa Premium Edition, made its official debut with a price tag of Rs 75,400. Before this edition, there were two variants of the Honda Activa called the DLX and STD. The new edition is Rs 3,000 dearer than the previous variants, due to the added cosmetic elements.
As previously stated, the Honda Activa Premium Edition has several visual changes, such as gold wheels, a gold coat on the emblem, and a gold finish on other areas. The single-piece seat, as well as the footboard and a 3D golden insignia and a Premium logo, are in brown shade. Furthermore, the interior body parts of the scooter are finished in brown, adding to the attraction of the new model.
Apart from that, three new shades are added to the colour scheme, and they all get golden highlights. These new shades include Pearl Siren Blue, Marshal Green Metallic, and Mat Sangria Red Metallic. The hardware and features of the Honda Activa Premium Edition are the same as those of its predecessors. It will have an analogue instrument cluster, LED headlights, and an external fuel-filling cap. The Activa Premium Edition has steel rims, 130mm drum brakes, and tubeless tyres.
Suspension duties are assigned to telescopic units in the front and a 3-step-adjustable spring-loaded hydraulic shock absorber in the rear. Built on the underbone frame, the scooter tips the scales at 106 kg. It is powered by the same 109cc, fan-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine develops 7.68 bhp of power and 8.84 Nm of peak torque when revved to 5,500 rpm. The Honda Activa Premium Edition also boasts a silent start function, which is made possible by the vehicle’s fuel injection and ESP technology.
