Here’s Why So Many Bike & Car Brands Aren’t Coming @ Auto Expo 2018

Auto Expo 2018 will witness a huge drop in brand presence this year. This not just means direct loss to the organisers as even concerned audience will also feel low with huge brand list missing the show.

As we had already mentioned that automobile manufacturers were worried about the output they get after investing, some accurate figures have emerged on the internet regarding overall cost on various brand when renting space at Auto Expo 2018.

Here’s Why So Many Bike & Car Brands Aren’t Coming @ Auto Expo 2018

Car brands that require 8 car space with enough spacing for everyone to walk comfortably ends up spending around INR 30 Crore on the rent part. Then comes the cost of bringing celebrity presence for more footfall and this only adds into their cost of management and imports (few models and accessories).

They end up spending close to INR 40 Crore for 8 days of display. Brands have became specific about their products and may are new with a belief that personal events with more targeted audience is beneficial for them throughout the year.

Here at Auto Expo, they believe their investment brings them almost no return as target audience is generally missing for luxury brands. Also, lack of products to display is a major issue with brand that have niche following.

Bajaj Auto will skip Auto Expo 2018

Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers has kept the renting cost same from last three shows. The per square meter charges for every participant is INR 8200. Auto Expo 2018 will take place at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida and some Indian brands have larger than ever plans for the show.

Mercedes Benz, BMW, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and many other have rented the largest space ever for a huge display. The fans won’t get disappointed as they have several first time products on display at the show. First time entries like Kia Motors and Emflux will introduce viewers to an all new segment of products for 2018.
