Ducati Panigale V4 vs BMW S1000RR: Panigale V4, the flagship superbike from an elite Italian brand, is available in India for INR 22.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It is one of the most expensive four-cylinder stock motorcycle among others, rivalling Yamaha YZF-R1, Suzuki GSX-R1000R, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Aprilia RSV4 RR, and Honda CBR1000R Fireblade in its segment. Another direct rival with European origin is the 2019 BMW S1000RR, now available in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 18.50 lakh. It features an all-new design with symmetrical headlights, refined motor, and lightweight parts.
2019 BMW S1000RR comes with a 999cc engine while displacement for Panigale V4 measures 1103cc. The addition of 104cc adds 11Nm of torque to the bike while the difference in power is 7HP. BMW has focused on weight reduction as the first step while Ducati improved the output for compensation. Both the bikes can achieve 300kph of top speed and cornering ABS also stays standard on them.
