Restored Yamaha RX 100 by DA MODS: RX 100 is the most powerful production spec 100cc bike of all time. It performed like a 150cc machine with its high power output and ultra-lightweight body. Modification was never a requirement for DA MODS as they knew that simply restoring this legend back to its original form will make everyone happy.
The donor Yamaha RX 100 (owned by Saugat Mahapatra) was in a very bad condition as most parts of its body had already rusted to death. Miserable condition of the bike can be seen through the images that were clicked before the job actually started.
DA MODS kept every part in its stock condition, even the paint and tank lining is directly derived from the original one seen on RX 100 during its time of market dominance.
It has been beautifully crafted with stock chrome front and rear fender, neatly restored exhaust system, well painted engine block and comfortable straight seat with a stock pillion grab-rail. Chrome upper suspension parts are also finished for complete perfection.
Yamaha RX 100 is powered by a 98cc, single cylinder engine producing 11 BHP and 10.39 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and claims 100 kmph of top speed.
The bike weighs just 103 kg and thus, a power to weight ratio close to 150cc bikes is achieved on the two stroke commuter. Stock fuel tank can carry 10.5 liters of fuel tank while low 765mm of seat height facilitated the best ever riding experience.
