1. What is the latest price of Yamaha R15 V3 in India?

The BS4 model of YZF-R15 V3.0 was discontinued back in 2020 and it was available with a starting price tag of INR 1.41 lakhs. At present, the BS6-compliant model is available in India with a starting price tag of INR 1.52 lakhs. Here is the colour-wise price list of the BS6 Yamaha R15 V3:

2. Why didn’t Yamaha launch the R15 V3 with USD forks in India?

In the case of the USD front forks, the slider sits at the bottom and the chrome part is on the top, whereas the case is completely opposite in the conventional telescopic forks. Although the repositioning does not make much difference yet USD forks handle better and provide better feedback.

On the contrary, the telescopic forks have basic architecture hence, easier to work with. Also, in case of an oil seal leak on an upside telescopic fork, the oil is likely to trickle onto your braking components whereas an oil leak on a telescopic fork will only ooze down the slider. According to the brand, the conventional telescopic forks on the Yamaha R15 V3 are better for Indian roads.
