The 2020 Aprilia GPR150 ABS has been recently launched in the Chinese markets at a price tag of CNY 22,980 (INR 2.47 lakh approx). The 150cc Aprilia is a fully faired sports bike that has been launched as the younger sibling of the Aprilia GPR250 that was unveiled in China back in the year 2019.
The brand has imparted almost similar designing traits to the 150cc GPR when compared to its 250cc version. The motorcycle features a split LED headlight set up at the front while the brand has offered it a clip-on handlebar unit. The fully-faired machine features a fuel tank capacity of 15.4 litres while the brand has offered it a split seat setup with the rear seat flowing towards the back.
Coming to the instrument panel offered to the 2020 Aprilia GPR150 ABS, the brand has offered it a digital-analogue unit which gets an analogue tachometer with a small digital display for showing the speedometer reading, gear position indicator, odometer, fuel level and more.
Powering the motorcycle is a 149cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 18 HP at 9750 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension duties on the Aprilia GPR150 ABS are handled by USD forks at the front while the rear has been mated to a monoshock absorber. The motorcycle gets disc brakes set up at either side mated to dual-channel BOSCH ABS.
The customers can avail the GPR150 in the Chinese markets in four colour schemes namely Red, Black, White and Silver. The brand has revealed no details on the launch of the Aprilia GPR150 in the Indian markets though, the last-gen version of the motorcycle was showcased at a dealers’ meet in Goa in the year 2019. As of now, it is not clear whether Aprilia would launch a 150cc or a 250cc-300cc sports bike in India.
