As expected, Bajaj Auto is looking forward to introducing the 2020 KTM lineup in India today (6th of December, 2019). The brand will be revealing the latest KTM models at ‘India Bike Week’ at 4:30 PM in Vagator, Goa. Bajaj has not yet revealed the list of bikes they will be unveiling today but it is highly expected that the most-anticipated KTM 390 Adventure will be finally unveiled/launched at the IBW 2019.
According to one of the reliable sources, Bajaj Auto will also showcase its BS6-compliant models of the current-gen KTM bikes at the IBW today. The source also notified that the 250 Duke and the 390 siblings which include the 390 Duke and RC 390, will be unveiled first and the deliveries are expected to start from December 20, 2019.
One of the recent reports also claims that the deliveries of the BS6-compliant KTM 125 Duke and the RC 125 will be commenced later somewhere around January. Apart from that, the 200 Duke and the RC 200 will be among the last ones to join the BS6 bandwagon and the updated 200cc bikes will be brought to the market in February 2020.
The prices of the said bikes are expected to witness a hike of INR 8,000 to INR 12,000 that will be in accordance with the variant. KTM recently also showcased new colour options for the RC series at the EICMA in November 2019 and it is being expected that the India-spec BS6 variants will carry the same colour combinations to set them apart from the current-gen BS4 models.
According to a statement by a top Bajaj official, Husqvarna bikes will also be unveiled in India this week, which sounds more like a confirmation that the bikes will be launched at the India Bike Week. As per the latest details available, the deliveries of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 are expected to commence in the Indian market from January onwards.
Apart from the 390 Adventure and the BS6 models of the current-gen KTM motorcycles, the brand is also expected to showcase the 250 Adventure at the IBW today. In addition to that, the fans will also be able to check out the 2020 model of the mightly KTM 1290 Super Duke R at the event. As of now, the brand has no plans to bring the bike to the Indian shores any time soon but still, the model will be showcased in India as the brand is aiming at strengthening its existence in the market.
