Update (January 27, 2017): Thanks to our reader Sa’ad Bin Sadiq for sharing some crucial details about the upcoming 2017 model of much-awaited Bajaj Pulsar NS200. This time he has shared another undisguised photo of new NS200 in Red-Grey shade. As per the details provided by him, the 2017 model will be available in total 3 dual-tone shades: Red-Grey, White-Grey, and Black-Grey. Bajaj won’t be offering single-tone plain shades like they introduced for the recently launched Dominar 400.
Sa’ad Bin Sadiq also confirmed that the bike is priced at INR 1,15,568 (On-Road Tamil Nadu), this means the new NS would be priced somewhere around INR 98,000(ex-showroom Delhi). The engine of the bike has been upgraded to BSIV but it is expected to generate same amount of power and torque at 23.2 Bhp and 18.3 Nm respectively.
Is Pulsar NS200 getting Fi & ABS?
According to Sa’ad Bin Sadiq, the new NS200 won’t be coming with Fi (Fuel Injection) and ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) but on the other side, according to our readerYadul Krishna, he confirmed that in his city a Bajaj dealer is saying that the the 2017 model of NS200 is Fi but he not sure about the ABS. We also tried contacting Bajaj but they said we can’t reveal the details before the official launch of the bike.
Only time will tell, whether the bike is fuel-injected and will be getting ABS as an option or not. As of now, Bajaj has not announced an exact launch date for the NS200, the tentative launch dates are January 28 or February 9. We are also expecting Bajaj to equip the 2017 model of NS200 with Fi and optional ABS but if it doesn’t come with these 2 features, it would be a huge disappointment for the fans!
Original Article (January 24, 2017): Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has been missing from the scene since a long time and many fans have even started believing that it won’t make a comeback from the company side. Keeping things as clear as possible, Maxabout readersAdarsh Charles & Sa’ad Bin Sadiq recently spotted the bike in a parking lot and brought the clearest ever spy shots for the upcoming motorcycle. If some report are to be believed, it will actually be available in the month of January 2017 itself, the tentative launch date is January 28, some sources believe that it will come on February 9. As of now, Bajaj has not revealed the launch date officially.
2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 – All You Need to Know
The bike spotted here is finished in White & Grey, leaving no hints for the much awaited ABS and fuel injected version. The images here show that the fuel switching knob is present on the bike while the brakes are missing the rings of ABS on all the images. If this comes out to be true, the NS200 will relaunch with the same statistics as the earlier version, scrapping all the ideas of enjoying the Turkey spec Pulsar NS200 Fi in India.
The motorcycle carries a combination of Matt and Gloss finish paints, which in this case is Gloss White and Matt Grey on the NS200. The Matted section remains on the front fender, tank shrouds and tail panel while everything else gets Crystal White shade on its top. The NS200 gets ‘200’ sticker job on the Matted tank shroud. Most other things remain the same as the older Pulsar NS200 as Bajaj has worked only on the cosmetic updates.
The engine powering NS200 is a single cylinder 199.5 cc unit, producing 23.17 BHP and 18.3 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and would get the BS4 compatible exhaust on the 2017 model. Missing ABS and fuel injection points out that the bike will compete against the TVS Apache RTR 200 as the same even gets nothing on the base variant. Readers can safely assume that the pricing would be kept around INR 93,000-95,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
