Bajaj Auto has officially relaunched the Pulsar NS200 in India at INR 96,453 (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle is currently available at most dealerships and can be booked for any amount. The sales would officially start most probably from Feb 9, 2017. Sadly, the most expected Fuel Injection and ABS version are not on offer currently. Bajaj simply updated the shades on the older model and relaunched the same with an updated BS4 engine.
2017 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Officially Launched at Rs 96,453
Bajaj Pulsar NS200 uses a 199.5cc, single cylinder engine producing 23.17 BHP at 9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and complies with the BS4 emission norms. Design of the overall body panels remain unchanged while the introduction of three new dual tone shades provide a refreshed feel to the bike. Bajaj offers Graphite Black, Mirage White and Wild Red dual-tone shades for the NS200.
The tail section, front fender and tank extensions are finished in Matt Grey on all color variants while fuel tank displays the three vibrant shades on the motorcycle. The motorcycle uses the same 12 liter fuel tank as AS200 while other important features include excellent ground clearance, accessible seat height and typical street bike riding position. Bajaj didn’t had a huge media launch for the motorcycle as it was considered an update only.
The NS200 relaunch is a huge disappointment to those fans who were waiting for the fuel injected version of the motorcycle as key rival TVS offers Apache RTR 200 with the same option in the country. TVS is even offering ABS on their motorcycle while Bajaj once again missed on the important feature. Since it was last sold in 2015, the motorcycle will face tough competition from the very close 150cc to 250cc segment in India.
Commenting on the two-bike launch, Eric Vas, president (Motorcycle Business), Bajaj Auto, said: “The 2017 range of the Pulsar RS200 and NS200 gives the Indian motorcyclist the latest international technology in performance motorcycling. With our new 2017 Pulsar range, we offer discerning motorcyclists a combination of sporty responsive performance, high quality finish, and unbeatable speed and handling that reaffirms the Pulsar’s product leadership.”
