2017 Hyundai Grand i10 launched in India @ INR 4.58 Lakhs

2017 Hyundai Grand i10 has been launched in India with a starting price tag of INR 4.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car comes with few upgrades and features exterior enhancement with all new features on its body. Apart from that, the car now comes with an all new 1.2 liter, 3-cylinder diesel engine. The top spec diesel Grand i10 can be brought for INR 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The base variant has been made even more affordable while the top spec car is now expensive by a small margin.

Grand i10 directly rivals Maruti Suzuki Swift and now enjoys even more affordable starting price that undercuts the same by more than INR 20,000. It even undercuts the recently launched Ignis by a negligible margin. The reshuffling of variants has placed the Asta trim as the highest variant and Sportz (O) can be seen directly below the new flagship. The car comes with added equipment like 7 inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Mirrorlink. Even the smaller Sportz variant gets 5 inch touchscreen AVN.

The top spec car comes with automatic climate control, 14-inch diamond cut alloy wheels with new design, LED daytime running lights and reverse parking camera with audible sensors. Hyundai will even pass all these benefits to the Xcent compact sedan in the coming days of 2017. An even interesting fact for the Grand i10 is the use of an all new 1.2 liter, 3-cylinder diesel engine that is good for 75 HP and 190 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard on the diesel engine.

Hyundai offers an option of 4-speed automatic on the 1.2 liter, 4-cylinder petrol motor, producing a max of 83 HP and even getting a 5-speed manual gearbox on standard variants. The petrol automatic is good for 17.49 kmpl of certified mileage while the manual returns 19.77 kmpl on the same engine. The new 1.2 liter diesel engine is good for 24.95 kmpl of ARAI certified mileage. The car now looks more in sync with the international design language followed by all Hyundai cars.
