As we reported earlier, the 2020 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has started reaching dealerships while the official launch is expected to take place in the coming days. The updated model of the streetfighter has been equipped with Fuel Injection (FI) in addition to a catalytic converter and O2 sensor to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms that will be implemented in India on April 1, 2020.
The BS6 switch has turned out to be a boon for the 2020 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 as the power figure has increased with the engine update. The motorcycle is now capable of offering maximum power of 24.5HP at 9,750rpm in its BS6 avatar as compared to the 23.5HP at 9,500rpm offered by the BS4 version. The torque figure for the 2020 NS200 has not been revealed yet.
The updated motorcycle features the similar disc brake setup at either side while the 200cc streetfighter continues to be equipped with a single-channel ABS unit as standard. Like the 2019 version, the 2020 BS6-compliant model of the Pulsar NS200 is available in four colours – White, Yellow, Red, and Black.
It was being expected that in addition to the BS6-compliant engine, Bajaj will also update the Pulsar NS200 with new colour schemes and graphics but the brand has not made any changes to the design of the motorcycle as it was recently spotted at a dealership with no cosmetic updates. Even the blue back-lit instrument console remains exactly the same as seen on the BS4 model of the NS200.
As per the details available, the updated fuel-injected model of NS200 will launch with a price tag of INR 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). The BS6 model is priced INR 11,000 higher in comparison to the BS4 model which is currently available with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.13 lakh, till the stock lasts.
