Bajaj Auto to Launch 4 Updated Bikes by September 2019

Bajaj Auto is preparing to launch four updated bikes in India by September this year, not including the two Husqvarna bikes that practically fall under their brand identity. The report has been made official through a statement to Moneycontrol and thus, the waiting period for the new feature that Bajaj talked about at many occasions has reduced to a few months only. The new variants of Pulsar, CT100, Discover, and Platina series will definitely take over the market with their value for money placement.

All these models are already counted among the bestsellers and adding a new innovative feature to the series will bring benefits for sure. Bajaj Auto has already launched the updated Avengers and Dominar in India, with both these targeting different customers at various price points. The four updated Bajaj products will not be served with an all-new tag and thus, changes may be seen only on the mechanical terms. Other reports doing rounds on the internet hints at the establishment of Husqvarna brand alongside the KTM showrooms in India.

Bajaj Auto to Launch 4 Updated Bikes by September 2019

If this stays true, the Swedish brand will have more than 350 touchpoints at the time of its launch. Bajaj Auto is currently retailing multiple models under different brand names and their engine lineup will shrink once the BS6 emission norms will come into effect on April 1, 2020. Bajaj Auto could add a fuel-saving start-stop system to their popular motorcycles as they already offer more features on their bikes in comparison to the rivals.

The current-gen Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon ABS is the most affordable 150cc bike of India, getting just INR 68,250 worth price tag. Adding more features to the same will strengthen the brand position in comparison to other sport commuters of India. The launch of updated bikes will begin in June while the order of launch is not clear at the moment. Updating the commuter section first will definitely prove more beneficial to the brand.

Speaking to Moneycontrol, Rakesh Sharma, chief commercial officer, Bajaj Auto said: “The market will see a lot of action beginning June. We already had a couple of introductions in the last two months. There has been an upgrade to the Dominar and the Avenger. Across the spectrum, over the next 3-4 months, the market will see 3-4 launches. These will be on smart innovations but not revolutionary. These will become the primary drivers of growth.”
