It is being reported that Bajaj Pulsar 125 is all set to be launched in India this month. It is expected to claim the tag of the country’s most affordable Pulsar series motorcycle. According to the latest details available, the upcoming Pulsar 125 is said to be based on the Pulsar 150 Neon in terms of design. Owing to the popularity of the Pulsar series in the Indian market, the decision to launch a 125cc model is expected to turn out fruitful for the brand.
If we take into consideration the price of the motorcycle, it will most probably get a price tag of INR 60,000-65,000 (ex-showroom). Older reports claimed that the upcoming bike will be based on the international-spec model of the Pulsar NS125 but, as per the recent updates, the India-spec Pulsar 125 will have a design similar to the 150 Neon.
The 125cc Bajaj Pulsar is expected to feature a single-seat saddle and no fuel tank extensions like the 150 Neon. The motorcycle will feature a halogen headlight with LED DRLs in addition to a semi-digital instrument console along with a muscular fuel tank with a 3D Pulsar logo.
The safety kit of the upcoming two-wheeler is expected to comprise of a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear end, while the Pulsar 125 will come equipped with Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard.
The engine configuration of the Pulsar 125 is rumoured to be based on the engine of the Pulsar 135, which generates a maximum power of 13.5 HP and a peak torque of 12 Nm. We can expect the 125cc Pulsar to deliver better mileage and performance, capable enough to compete with the likes of other motorcycles in its class like the Honda CB Shine 125 and the Hero Glamour 125.
As of now, Bajaj Auto has not announced anything officially regarding the launch of the Pulsar 125 in the Indian market. But if the recent reports are to be believed, the brand will soon announce the launch date and will also start accepting bookings for the upcoming motorcycle.
