According to a recent report by BikeWale, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon will be available at a price tag of INR 66,586 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This price tag makes Pulsar 125 as the most affordable motorcycle in the brand’s Pulsar lineup. The 125cc motorcycle is expected to hit the Indian roads soon.
The addition of CBS has made the brand keep the motorcycle at a reasonable price tag while making it available to a wider Indian audience. The motorcycle will be available in the market in two colour variants with distinguished neon graphics. Some of the Bajaj dealers have already commenced the bookings for the Pulsar 125 Neon while the deliveries are expected to commence shortly.
The earlier rumours suggested that the new motorcycle will be launched as Pulsar NS125, which is already available in the international markets. But as per the latest details available, the India-spec model of Pulsar 125 will be based on the Pulsar 150 Neon. Launching the 125cc Pulsar in India would turn out to be one of the best decisions made by the brand considering the affordable price tag as well as the strong foothold of the Pulsar brand in India.
The upcoming bike will feature a single-seat saddle and no fuel tank extensions, just like the 150 Neon. There are no confirmed details available regarding the engine specifications of the upcoming motorcycle. Considering the specs of the Pulsar NS125 available in the international markets, the India-spec Pulsar 125 will be powered by a 124.5cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine.
The 125cc Pulsar will be capable of generating a maximum power figure of around 12 HP at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque figure of 11 Nm at 6,000 pm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The upcoming Pulsar 125 Neon is expected to get a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear while the bike will come equipped with CBS (Combined Braking System) as a standard safety feature.
