Last year, the updated model of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi with ABS was spotted outside India in a new set of shades for the international markets. The 2020 model of the motorcycle features white/silver fuel tank and a gloss-black rear underseat panel on all three shades. The difference can be spotted on the FI stickers, finished in Neon Yellow, Neon Blue, and Neon Red on the three colour options. The matching pinstripes on the alloy wheels is another way to differentiate all three of them.
As Bajaj Auto manufactures the Pulsar NS200 in India and exports the same to different markets, the same colour combinations are expected to make their way to our country along with the launch of the 2020 fuel-injected model in the coming weeks.
The Fi model of NS200 was earlier expected to launch in India around Diwali 2019 but it didn’t happen. As the BS6 emission norms will come into effect in the Indian market starting from April 1 this year, Bajaj Auto would be updating the fuel-injected engine of the Pulsar RS200 to make it BS6-compliant and the same engine will also be powering the updated model of the NS200 in India.
The BS4 model of the fuel-injected Pulsar RS200 is good for 24.5HP of maximum power at 9750 rpm and 18.6Nm of maximum torque at 8000 rpm. On the other hand, the carburetted BS4 Pulsar NS200 generates 23.5HP of power and 18.3Nm of torque. The gearbox stays 6-speed in both cases. Like most of the BS6 bikes, the 200cc Pulsar series is also expected to get a slight drop in the power and torque figures.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is a great machine with a balanced streetfighter design and stylish fuel tank extensions that are nowadays adopted by most bikes of the same category. The updated BS6-compliant 2020 model of the Pulsar NS200 is expected to be priced around INR 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
