Bajaj Auto has officially confirmed that their upcoming big bike will be known as Dominar and the official launch is going to happen on December 15. The deliveries of the bike will be starting from January 2017. It would be the most affordable mid size tourer of India, providing riders with loads of features and yet, a price tag that won’t burn your pocket for sure. The expected ex-showroom price would be starting from INR 1.60 lakhs for the base non-ABS model.

Pune, 29th November 2016: Bajaj Auto today officially named its biggest and most powerful motorcycle as “Dominar”. The Dominar 400 shall be unveiled in India on 15th of December 2016. Dominar is a derivation from a Spanish word which means “to excel or exceed in power”.
Confirming the launch Mr. Eric Vas, President (Motorcycle Business), Bajaj Auto, “We are delighted to announce the name of the most anticipated brand from the Bajaj Auto stable. The Dominar 400 has already created lot of excitement amongst bikers, which is befitting for what’s going to be one of the most path breaking products in the history of the Indian motorcycle industry.”
The first Dominar 400 motorcycle was rolled out from Bajaj Auto’s Chakan Plant on 18th November.

Bajaj recently also released 4 photos and an official press release about their upcoming 400cc motorcycle (373.2cc to be exact). Bajaj Dominar 400 is based on the Pulsar CS400 concept motorcycle which was unveiled at Auto Expo in 2014. Pulsar CS400 was expected to be launched as Pulsar VS400, then the name was changed to Kratos VS400. But there were some trademark issues with Kratos name, and now the bike will be known as Dominar 400.
