BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS200, RS200, 180F, 220F Power Figures Revealed

As we reported earlier, the prices for the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS200, RS200, 180F and 220F have been recently revealed. In addition to this, the power figures of these four motorcycles have also been leaked ahead of their official launch and vary as per their underlying platforms.

The brand has equipped the updated motorcycles with a BS6-compliant engine while the cosmetic changes remain almost minimal. The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar series features identical design language as well as the colour schemes when compared to their BS4 counterparts though the addition of an ECU, a larger catalytic converter as well as a fuel-injected engine to comply with the BS6 emission norms have been a plus.

Coming to the updated performance values, the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 180F is now capable of offering maximum power of 17.02HP @ 8,500 rpm which is similar to the one offered by the BS4 version while the torque figure has not been revealed as of yet. One can further expect the updated torque value to decline slightly when compared to the 14.22Nm offered by the BS4 variant due to the addition of a BS6-compliant engine.

Similarly, the 220cc fuel-injected engine on the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 220F is now capable of offering a reduced power figure of 20.39HP at 8500 rpm when compared to the 20.93HP offered by the BS4-compliant engine. The torque figure for the motorcycle also remains unknown at the time though it is expected to decrease slightly with the mechanical changes.

The BS6 switch has turned out to be better for the most cherished Bajaj Pulsar NS200 where the power figure has increased with the engine update. The motorcycle is now capable of offering maximum power of 24.5HP at 9,750rpm in its BS6 avatar as compared to the 23.5HP at 9,500rpm offered by the BS4 version. The torque figure for the NS200 has not been revealed yet.

Since the Pulsar RS200 was already equipped with a fuel-injected engine in its BS4 version, the update to a BS6-compliant engine has kept the power figure unaltered. The motorcycle continues to offer a maximum power of 24.5HP @ 9,750 rpm with the BS6-compliant engine. There has been no information received on the updated torque figure as of yet.
