2020 BS6 BMW G310R & G310GS Spotted Testing in India

The 2020 BS6 BMW G310R and G310GS have been spotted testing on the Indian roads for the first time. As one can spot in the spy video by a YouTuber Abhinav Bhatt, both the motorcycles now feature an all-LED headlight along with revised fuel tank extensions and radiator shrouds. Apart from these minor changes, the overall design remains the same for the 2020 BS6 BMW G310R and G310GS.

Mechanically, the BS4-compliant entry-level BMW motorcycles were powered by a 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that was capable of offering maximum power of 34HP and a peak torque of 28Nm. The BS6-compliant models are expected to generate similar power and torque values while the engine will also remain mated to a 6-speed transmission.

As we reported earlier, the 2020 BS6 BMW G310R roadster and the G310GS adventure motorcycle will be launched in the Indian market with massive price cuts. The updated motorcycle variants with a BS6-compliant engine are expected to get around INR 75,000 price cut when compared to their BS4 counterparts.

With the reduction in the official price tags, one can expect the BS6 model of the G310R to get a price tag of around INR 2.25 lakh and the BS6-compliant variant of the G310GS is expected to be priced around INR 2.75 lakh. Both the updated motorcycle variants are expected to grace the Indian markets in the coming weeks.

The BS4 BMW G310R was available in the markets at an official price tag of INR 2.99 lakh while the G310GS BS4 version was available at INR 3.49 lakh. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom.
