BMW G310R & G310GS to Get a Big Price Cut with BS6 Upgrade: According to the recent reports, the BS6 BMW G310R roadster and the G310GS adventure motorcycle will be launched in the Indian market with massive price cuts. The updated motorcycle variants with a BS6-compliant engine are expected to get around INR 75,000 price cut when compared to their BS4 counterparts.
With the reduction in the official price tags, one can expect the BS6 model of the G310R to get a price tag of around INR 2.25 lakh and the BS6-compliant variant of the G310GS is expected to be priced around INR 2.75 lakh. Both the updated motorcycle variants are expected to grace the Indian markets sometime by the end of August 2020 or early September 2020.
The BS4 BMW G310R is currently available in the markets at an official price tag of INR 2.99 lakh while the G310GS BS4 version is available at INR 3.49 lakh. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom.
Both the BS4 motorcycle variants from the partnership of TVS and BMW are currently being offered with INR 86,000 and INR 96,500 of instant on-road price discount respectively. The brand is offering major discounts on the entry-level bikes to clear out the existing BS4 stock from the Indian markets.
Apart from the decrease in the official BS6 price tags, the updated variants of the motorcycle are expected to remain cosmetically unaltered. Both the motorcycles are expected to feature the same halogen headlight setup with LED indicators and LED taillights. The brand is expected to offer both the updated variants with the similar fully-digital instrument console.
At present, the BS4-compliant entry-level BMW motorcycles are powered by a 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 34HP and a peak torque of 28Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. One can expect a subtle tweak in the performance figures with the addition of a BS6-compliant engine.
