The production-ready model of the CFMoto 250SR sportbike has been spotted undisguised again. CFMoto is likely to launch the 250SR at the EICMA in November 2019. The Indian market will get the same design with a 300cc engine, and the India-spec model will be launched as CFMoto 300SR.
Coming to the looks of the upcoming sports bike, the fully-faired motorcycle features a split LED headlamp design with a distinguished LED DRLs setup. The aggressive styling of the motorcycle is complimented by a muscular fuel tank in addition to the raised rear-end design.
The CFMoto 250SR gets slightly raised clip-on handlebars which further adds to its forward rising position. The split seat setup adds to its sporty design profile while the addition of air ducts completes its overall bold design.
Based on the underpinnings of the CFMoto 250NK, the 250SR will be powered by the same 249cc DOHC, single-cylinder engine churning out 26 HP of maximum power at 9000 rpm, and 22 Nm of maximum torque at 7500 rpm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by inverted (USD) forks at the front while the rear gets an adjustable mono-shock suspension. The CFMoto 250SR gets single disc brakes on either end accompanied by J.Juan callipers that replace the Brembo callipers shown on the concept model.
The motorcycle features an underbelly exhaust system while gets a full-colour TFT instrument panel which further has two different layouts namely: Sport and Rain, both offering a different set of information to the rider. Internationally, the CFMoto 250SR will compete with the likes of KTM RC 250, Honda CBR250R, and the Kawasaki Ninja 250SL.
As the Indian market will be getting CFMoto 300SR, it will be based on the underpinnings of the 300NK, which is powered by a 292.4cc single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 33.5 HP at 7200 rpm and an utmost torque of 20.5 Nm at 8800 rpm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The brand is highly likely to launch the CFMoto 300SR in India and it is expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo in February 2020.
