Ducati Panigale V2 Special Edition Goes On Sale In India At Rs 21.30 Lakh

Ducati India recently announced the launch of the new Special Edition Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary motorcycle at Rs 21,30,000 (ex-showroom India). The new motorcycle is reminiscent of the illustrious career of Australian rider Troy Bayliss. The new bike comes with the feature of a dedicated livery that is similar to Bayliss’ racing bike Ducati 996R, for which it won its first title. As the name suggests, the bike uses the Panigale V2 as the base that is equipped with the “Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary” livery.

Ducati red remains the main colour of the bike that pays tribute to the Italian flag and is associated with green and white. The iconic #21, Troy Bayliss’ race number and shell logo which has been added to the look, shows the strong visual connection with the racing bike. Troy’s autograph is also present on the bike’s fuel tank. While the name of the bike is in the billet aluminium triple clamp and then in this unique model, the progressive numbering can also be seen.

This bike gets the same 955cc Superquadro twin-cylinder engine. The engine generates a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a top torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. This racing bike is based on a monocoque frame, which is inspired by a sporty design. The company mentioned that by adopting a lithium-ion battery and with a single-seater configuration, this special edition bike weighs 3 kg lighter than its standard version Panigale V2.

Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India stated in the interview that as a brand, they take racing very seriously and are proud to be one of those few brands in the world. They are overwhelmed to introduce this special motorcycle in the Indian market so that racing fans across the country can get the benefit of this special edition of the Panigale V2.
