Italian Police recently updated their motorcycle lineup and added Ducati Multistrada 1200 S as well as 1200 Enduro to the fleet. This is not the first time when a police department gets exotic bikes in their lineup as recently, Indian police also acquired few Harley Davidson Street 750 for the official purpose. Abu Dhabi police is one step ahead with a long list of supercars in their current fleet.
Italian Police Gets New Ducati Multistrada Patrol Bikes
On this occasion, Ducati Motor CEO said, “Ducati is particularly proud to be able to provide the technology, style, and quality of its motto to the Arms of Carabinieri. With its 160 HP, the Multistrada is an exceptional vehicle as a combination of performance, essential for comfort, handling and loading capabilities.”

Ducati Multistrada 1200 S is powered by a 1198.4 cc, twin cylinder engine producing 160 HP at 9500 rpm and 136 Nm at 7500 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and weighs 235 kg. The bike comes with alloy wheels and uses a 20 liter fuel tank. 1200 Enduro comes with spoke wheels, 30 liter fuel tank and weighs around 254 kg.
The difference in both the bikes are quite visible as 1200 Enduro gets Sachs 48 mm front forks, 200 mm suspension travel, 19 inch wheel on the front and 870 mm of seat height. Ducati Multistrada 1200S costs INR 16.91 lakh in India while Multistrada 1200 Enduro is slightly expensive at INR 17.44 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
