All three 200cc bikes are powered by Xtreme 200R’s 199.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which churns out a maximum power of 18.4 HP at 8000 rpm, and a peak torque of 17.1 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Earlier Hero MotoCorp offered the 199.6cc engine only on the Xtreme 200R and offering all the newly launched motorcycles with the same engine will allow the brand to cut the engine production cost thereby justifying the competitive prices. At present, the brand is offering fuel injection as an option only on the XPulse 200, while they may offer the same on the XPulse 200T, Xtreme 200R, and the Xtreme 200S in the coming months.

All three 200cc bikes are equipped with a 276mm single front disc brake and a 220mm single rear disc brake. The motorcycles come with a single-channel ABS unit as standard. The suspension duties are handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front while the rear end is equipped with a monoshock.

The Hero XPulse 200 looks rather muscular and tall while the adventure motorcycle features an LED headlight plus a front visor. In order to enhance the off-roading capabilities, the bike features a high-mounted side exhaust and a bash plate to protect the engine. XPulse 200 gets 21-inch spoked wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear.

Coming to the city-specific tourer, the Hero XPulse 200T gets a conventionally mounted side exhaust and features 17-inch alloy wheels with road-biased tyres. It is expected that the brand may offer the wind visor as an accessory to the XPulse 200T customers.

Hero Xtreme 200S, the fully faired version of the Xtreme 200R takes on the Suzuki Gixxer SF, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, and the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 in the Indian market. The Xtreme 200S features a wide LED headlamp design, a step-up seat while the fairing features multiple angular lines. The black alloy wheels and the exhaust muffler though remains almost similar to the Xtreme 200R. We feel that Hero MotoCorp could have worked on a better design as the Xtreme 200S looks unproportionate from a lot of angles.

All-Digital Instrument Console
All 3 Motorcycles are Equipped with an All-Digital Instrument Console

Both the Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T, as well as the Xtreme 200S, features an all-digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. The console displays real-time mileage, trip-meter, date, distance to empty on the right side while the left part of the console displays a speedometer, a tachometer, an odometer, a fuel gauge, a digital clock, and a gear indicator. According to the latest details available, the deliveries for the three newly launched 200cc bikes will start by the end of this month.
