At the recent ‘Hero World 2020’ event, Hero MotoCorp has introduced the all-new Xtreme 160R along with the BS6 Passion Pro and Glamour motorcycles. As per the details available, the Xtreme 160R will be launched in India next month. With the unveiling of the all-new bike, Hero is targeting the youngsters that look forward to buying a naked sportbike.

The Hero Xtreme 160R is built on the latest Xtreme series that comes powered by a 200cc engine. In terms of style, the bike looks attractive and gets a sporty design which does not resemble any other motorcycle by the brand. The bike will be available in three dual-tone colour options: White with Grey, Blue with Grey, and Sports Red with Grey. The dual-tone paint options go well with the sleek headlamps, blackened headlamp mask, wide seats, and eye-catching body graphics.

The key features of the bike include full-LED headlamp, LED tail lamp with H graphics, LED turn signals with hazard lamp switch, digital instrumentation and side-stand engine cut-off sensor. The Hero Xtreme 160R will be available in two variants: front disc with single-channel ABS, and dual-disc with single-channel ABS. The bike gets a kerb weight of 138.5kgs while the suspension duties are performed by 37mm telescopic front forks and a seven-step adjustable rear monoshock.

Mechanically, the bike is powered by a BS6-compliant 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with electronic fuel injection. It is capable of producing 15.2HP of maximum power at 8500 rpm along with 14Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh transmission with a multi-plate wet clutch.

According to the brand, the Xtreme 160R can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 4.7-seconds. The braking duties of the bike are performed by a 276mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc. The ground clearance of the bike stands at 170mm. The all-new streetfighter would be competing with the likes of Yamaha FZS, TVS Apache RTR 160, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Suzuki Gixxer 155, and the Honda CB Hornet 160R.
