Hero Xtreme 200R Price Hiked: The introductory pricing for Hero Xtreme 200R is now over for the Northeastern states of India. The ABS-equipped, 200cc street motorcycle is now available for INR 89,900 in most states of India, with some exceptions showing INR 90,900 as the price tag. The bike was initially launched at INR 88,000 (ex-showroom). The price for New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai stay the same while buyers in Kolkata will need to pay the higher amount. Along with West Bengal, others states with the higher effective ex-showroom price includes Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The reason for this difference is unknown at the moment.
Hero Xtreme 200R is a premium commuter with certain aspects that are seen on street bikes of India. It comes with thicker tires, sharp tail section, dual disc brakes, single-channel ABS and a rear monoshock. The decent 199.6cc engine is good for 18.4 hp of maximum power at 8000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of healthy torque at just 6500 rpm. The availability of such amount of power around this segment is very impressive, especially when compared with a long list of 150cc bikes priced around INR 90,000. Xtreme 200R weighs 148 kg and can be bought in Heavy Grey, Black, Sports Red, Panther Black, and Techno Blue shade.
