All-New Honda CB150X Adventure Bike Officially Unleashed

Honda has recently introduced its CB150X adventure motorcycle at the current 2021 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). It is positioned beneath the CB200X, which debuted in the Indian market a few months ago, and, similarly, the CB150X isn’t really an adventure motorcycle. This is Honda’s first adventure tourer with a 150cc engine. Speaking about its pricing in Indonesia, the base variant of the motorcycle is available at a price of RP 32 million which is around 1.67 lakh Indian Rupees.

In terms of design and styling, the motorcycle has a typical external body design with a long/extended front beak, a tall windscreen, a broad handlebar, and a single-piece seat. The new CB150X’s fuel tank is significantly broader and bolder than the CB200X’s, and the use of rather angular body panels contributes to the smaller Honda’s muscular appearance. It also has a sturdy-looking bash plate below to protect the engine components from harm.

The CB150X, like the CB200X, sports a completely digital instrument panel with all of the necessary information displayed in an easy-to-read manner. The bike is powered by a 149cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine which is capable of producing 16.5bhp at 9,000rpm and 13.8Nm at 7,000rpm. This engine includes a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox. In comparison to the CB200X, the CB150X has a significantly lower seat height of 805mm, whilst the CB200X has an 810mm seat height.

Furthermore, the overall ground clearance is 181mm, which is 14mm higher than its larger version. Also, the same 17-inch multi-spoke alloys featured on the CB150R have been used on the baby adventure tourer, but the front 37mm Showa USD forks have a larger 150mm of travel. The bike’s braking system consists of identical single-disc brakes on both ends, which are supplemented by ABS.
