BS6 Honda CBR650R India Launch Details Revealed: As reported earlier by us, the Honda CBR650R has been sold out in India for a while and the brand had put the bookings on hold. Now, the new reports confirm that the dealerships will start accepting bookings for the motorcycle from April 2020 while it will be available to the customers with a BS6-compliant engine.

Launched in April 2019 at a price tag of INR 7.70 lakh (ex-showroom), the BS4 variant of the motorcycle was initially unveiled at the EICMA 2018 in Italy.

BS6 Honda CBR650R India Launch Details Revealed

The Honda CBR650R was made available to the Indian market in Grand Prix Red and Gunpowder Black Metallic colour options. The CBR650R replaced the previously available CBR650F in brand’s portfolio while retains the styling bits of its elder sibling, the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade. The motorcycle features a complete LED setup upfront in addition to featuring an LED Taillight. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with an LCD instrument panel.

Powering the Honda CBR650R is a 649cc inline four-cylinder, 16-valve, DOHC engine that is capable of generating maximum power of 87.2HP @ 11,500 rpm and a peak torque of 60.1Nm @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox while the disc brake setup at either end is mated to a dual-channel ABS unit for additional safety. The motorcycle features 41mm inverted forks at the front from Showa while the rear has been equipped with an adjustable monoshock absorber.
