Honda CBR250RR Patented in India | Might Launch in 2018

According to a recent report, Honda recently patented the CBR250RR sport bike in India. This does not mark the first step of the motorcycle’s entry into India as they once themselves said that it would not be feasible to bring the CBR250RR to India. The bike may cost around INR 4 lakh (on-road) or above and that could be the biggest negative point for its entry. Though the chances are too thin but Honda might launch CBR250RR in India in 2018. If ever launched, it could rival Indian twin cylinder machines like Yamaha YZF-R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. Upcoming Benelli Tornado 302R also falls in the same segment.

While India awaits the all-new CBR250RR, Honda recently launched the 2-cylinder sport bike in Japan for JPY 756,000 (INR 4,49,500 approx). The top spec motorcycle with 2-channel ABS can be bought for JPY 8,28,360 (INR 4,92,500 approx).  The motorcycle promises sheer performance through its lightweight body and powerful engine with ride by wire technology. CBR250RR is already on-sale in Indonesia and Honda would be launching the bike in a phased manner in rest of the world.
