Indian Motorcycles recently launched the Chieftain Dark Horse in the country, priced at INR 31,99,175 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Dark Horse is offered with a Matt Black paint scheme, offering a different deal to those who are not interested in the Chrome lined models from the manufacturer. It is actually the same Chieftain being sold in India but offers single seat as well as tinted power windscreen.
The Matt Black shade can be seen on its fenders, fuel tank, bags, front forks, handlebars, engine and exhaust pipes. Indian Chieftain Dark Horse is powered by a Thunder Stroke 111 engine that produces 73 BHP at 5075 rpm and 138.9 Nm at just 2600 rpm. The torque availability from such low rpm makes it the best thing around its segment. It uses loads of electronic equipment like cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, remote locking saddle bags, keyless ignition and music system with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity.
